During my time on Car Team, I’ve machined a number of parts. From belt sanding screws to the correct length to tapping holes in the steering wheel to rough cutting aluminum so that it fits in our CNC machines, I’ve been fortunate to learn a tremendous amount about real world machining

Over Spring 2022 I was given a position in Brown’s Mech Tech II class by Brown Space Engineering to learn the fundamentals of machining and help in the eventual construction of the PVDX satellite. Throughout the course, I spent ~80 hours machining a spring loaded center, rubber mallet, and parallel clamps(pictured left to right above).
